Pre-prohibition solid brass ashtray / matchholder by Chas.W. Shonk Co. of Chicago who were best known for early tin lithography. Scarce ashtray with nearly all of the original red paint remaining on the lettering. Advertising and designs are engraved in the brass. It measures 6 1/2 x 4 inches and is 2 1/2 inches high. I think this is very early 1900’s.
Another very scarce ashtray. This one a glass covered bottom example from the 30’s. It measures 5 inches in diameter.
A kitchen pot holder reminding you to keep well stocked with Stegmaier products. Kind of a unique way of getting the message across. I’ve also seen a few other NE PA breweries use this method. Have a cold one while slaving over the hot stove. I’d guess vintage to be 50’s or early 60’s.
